Welcome to our new and rather furry family member
·We have a new cat! She is a rather pretty, extremely furry Ragdoll kitten. For those in the know, I understand she could be described as a mitted, bluepoint bi-colour Ragdoll. (I hope that this will make more sense to me soon). She also, as is just about apparent from the picture, has rather striking blue eyes!
We managed to keep her arrival a secret from the children, so they were suitably delighted when they got home and learned the news. We are equally happy: this cat seems extremely laid back, and will enjoy being cuddled a great deal.
We have a few big questions ahead of us:
- What shall we call her? There are some names knocking around, but as yet we haven't agreed on the right one
- Should she be allowed to sleep on the bed? She will be allowed only in the kitchen until we are sure she is making good use of the litter tray, but the question will hopefully come up soon!
I still miss our last two cats - Millie and Claudia, sisters from a Manx litter. They lived with us for many years, until they died, within just a few years of each other, after their kidneys gave in. I expect photos of them all will be appearing here in due course.
Anyway - welcome, ... , er, new cat! May your bowl continue to be full of tasty morsels!
