Blog catch-up: flute concerto, 10k, lots of work
family, fitness, music ·As I was writing my Juneathon kick-off post, I couldn't help but notice a distinct lack of "blog love" since about March, so this is a very quick catch-up! It has been very eventful. Here's a potted summary of the most interesting bits...
On April 27th I performed Godard's "Suite de Trois Morceaux" on my flute with my local orchestra, the Misbourne Symphony Orchestra in Amersham. This had been keeping me busy all year with practice etc, but went fine in the end so I was very happy to have it behind me!
The following day I ran a 10K race called the Ridge Off-Roader - spectacular views, and a very hilly and enjoyable outing. I loved this, and it served its purpose of bringing me back down after the flute concerto!
Then our youngest had her 5th birthday party on the Bubble Bus, and work has been a bit frantic, and ... then ... it's now.
There, I said it would be quick!
I promise I will try to make my next posts a bit more interesting...
