Juneathon day 4: a bit extreme!
fitness ·I usually have a pairs PT session on a Friday morning, however this week we had to bump it to Thursday - today. With the weather being so utterly beautiful, we decided to cycle the 6-ish miles to Deep Mill where we train, which was a delight.
Once we got there, we had a pretty full-on hour of upper body work - mainly shoulders, chest and then biceps/triceps. I think I possibly achieved a PB, bench-pressing 50 Kg in a set of 8 reps (I'm no Hercules..!). After this, we cycled home; it was even warmer on the way back - lovely!
At lunch time (well, I call it lunch time, but actually it was more like 3:30PM as work is rather busy) I headed out for a little run. Again, with the sun out, it was rather spectacular; I particularly like the bit next to the river in Rickmansworth. It was about 2 or 3 miles - unfortunately I can't say for sure as Strava failed to actually record the distance, just the time (about 30 mins).
Finally, this evening, I went to a Wild Training session at Hervines Park, for some Tabata-style running, battle ropes and Bulgarian bags. Hot work!
I had orchestra rehearsal after that (Misbourne Symphony Orchestra, if you're interested), but I'm not sure that technically counts towards my Juneathon target..!
That's it for today; see you tomorrow!
