Janathon '16 day 4: metafit
fitness ·Running was out today. But, metafit was back on the normal timetable at the Bodycoach gym in Rickmansworth, and a plan was forming.
A quick lunch outing and I was in. The metafit format is appealing: a 30 minute HIIT (high-intensity interval training) programme, timed precisely with a recording to guide you through the programme. I can't bring myself to remember exactly what we did, but do recall that it hurt - especially "the finisher", which involved suffering 2 minutes of continuous burpees...
Afterwards, I did a quick upper-body strength session in the weights room there - mainly biceps and triceps, plus a bit of back action etc. By that point, what with the intermittent fasting, I was STARVING (and perhaps a bit light-headed) so made a bee-line for Waitrose to pick up something I could chomp on.
Apart from quite a lot of walking generally, that was day 4! Until tomorrow...
