Janathon '17 day 4 - one extreme to another
fitness ·Most days, just the walks between home, station and office mean that I can manage 10,000 steps per day without especially trying. Today, though: no. Due to a child-related incident (of the kind where, unlike their older siblings, you take them to school and notice a distinct absence of other children), I found myself working at home. I didn't actually leave our plot of land until about 5pm and even now haven't even hit 6,000 steps. So, productive for work but not very active.
Until this evening, when I had another weights session with my 15yo. We were both a bit achy after Monday's session, but just went for it to see what would happen. It was good! I actually managed a PB: 45Kg overhead press. I'm climbing back up the other exercises too, on the way to reach (and hopefully surpass) my records from July '16.
Then, as if sent from heaven, I had another yoga class with Mrs H. Back bends again, and building on yesterday it was TOTALLY LUSCIOUS! Fingers crossed it will make me feel a bit less stiff tomorrow than I might normally expect.
So - sedentary all day and then a mini-beasting. One extreme to another!
