Juneathon '18 day 5 - yoga and a walk (oh, and Tesco)
family, fitness, food ·What with it being dry and everything, a bit of a walk around Rickmansworth seemed just the ticket for this lunchtime. So out I headed, for a brisk circuit touching the river and town. A great way to clear my head of work! Adding in the walk to and from work, I'm standing at about 12,000 steps right now.
This evening, I was down for an hour's yoga in Amersham with Ellie. This was rather lovely; being a bit achy from Sunday (triathlon) and Monday (upper body weights), and with lots going on generally, this time spent moving physically and concentrating on what I'm doing (ie mindfulness) was perfect. I'm still a bit sun-burnt from Sunday, but lying on a mat was less painful than yesterday on the bench pressing 50Kg, so all good!
However much we plan in advance, it always turns out at about 11pm that we need to get something from Tesco. And whatever I need, it always takes about 20 minutes of walking around the shop to find it. How does that happen?! Nevertheless, I'm reckoning that I'll have hit my target of 13,000 steps by the time I go to bed, and 6 miles...
Night all!
