Juneathon '18 day 19 - weights and yoga
family, fitness ·Not quite what I expected, this one. I had been thinking a run would be a good thing to get me going after staying up a bit late helping one of the kids with some homework. However, my work threw that slightly, and so it was that at the end of the work day nothing much had happened. So I headed down to our little room at the end of the garden and did some weights. Just the basics - bench press (peaking at 52.5Kg), tricep dips with the TRX, bicep curls (about 18Kg?) and (first time for ages) a Romanian deadlift (hitting 62.5Kg). Oh, and 75 kettlebell swings (20Kg).
Then just time for a quick cup of coffee and off to yoga; a perfect foil for weight lifting! An hour of extremely hot but buzzing yoga with Ellie, with lots of shoulder openers to fire me up. Apparently it is the Summer Solstice on Thursday, and this week's classes are based on that theme. Whatever was behind it, the yoga was fab.
But that's me done: shower and bed. Night all, see you tomorrow!
