Janathon '20 day 20: top-and-tail sandwich
fitness ·A couple of traditional hearties today. First off, an early start for circuits at 6:30am. It was freezing - pleasantly so, in fact, it being pretty dry so rather enjoyable to be out in, with the crunching under foot as we went about our exercises! I was concerned I was under-dressed, with just a long-sleeve tee-shirt and running jacket. However, the circuit was a good one and ten minutes or so later I'd lost the jacket and was perfectly comfortable in just the tee. The basic framework was: running - parellettes - squats - core. All good stuff, much of which I did yesterday in circuits so I was left pretty sore!
Then, this evening, I had the chance to go to a lovely yoga class up at a recently-launched boutique gym in Coleshill - Chi Personal Training. It is a rather classy and exclusive venue, set pretty close to where I live yet with a sense of being absolutely in the middle of nowhere. It is lovely and quiet up there and unaffected by light and noise pollution, and the views are spectacular - not that I had a chance to see them this evening with it getting dark so early! Anyway, the result was that four of us had an hour of strong, flowing yoga.
These two activities complemented each other pretty well, as it turned out; my aching legs (from all the squatting yesterday and today) are now feeling rather better.
I hope everyone else had a good day and didn't get too cold!
