Short post, long day
diary, exercise, work, humidity ·Today’s been a long day, starting early and finishing late. So I’m definitely opting for a diary-style post.
Mondays I usually do a local early-morning boot camp, and today was no exception. It was FREEZING - the first training of the year where I haven’t worn shorts. Technically, a few degrees above freezing. There were lots of kettle bells, as it was a strength session. I’m glad I went.
Next stop - work. A long day’s work, finishing around 7pm. I use a local Spaces office for work, as I find I’m much more productive there than home. Also, it’s warmer - coincidence?
Bought a kettle on the way home (ours had died), then went to Ellie’s yoga class. Back around 9:15. The house is freezing, and our smart meter says we’ve used about £17 of energy today. I’m guessing the tumble drier is going to account for a fair bit of that, but if we don’t use it then the house gets even damper than normal.
After some unexpected extra tasks, suddenly it’s 11:30pm. I haven’t done my flute, and need to sleep - I’m at the dentists in the morning.
Here’s a question: how can we dry washing without the tumble drier? Our house has solid walls so is terribly insulated. We’ve had the heating down low due to energy costs, which means there’s even more humidity in the air than normal. I think we are going to have to invest in a better dehumidifier - we have one now, but it is old and, honestly, a bit rubbish at this point. But any suggestions welcome!
