Wordleversary (janathon day 15)
Journal, Janathon, Wordle ·I noticed recently that I was approaching what I call my Wordleversary - and I have been celebrating it today. This is to say, I have completed 365 Wordles. I can’t remember the exact day I started, but it would have been just over a year ago as I have missed just a few days over that time.
Wordle has been a good find for me. It takes generally between one and five minutes in the morning (usually in bed with a cup of coffee). Occasionally it can take much longer - on Saturday, I started it in the morning and only thought of the answer mid-afternoon, after agonising over my last attempt in order to try to keep my streak.
The best thing about it is that you can only play it once per day: there is no temptation to keep going, as only one puzzle is released per day. This makes it hard to get lost in. I sometimes say that I’ve made a conscious effort to avoid gaming, as I know that if I were to get into it too much, I would disappear for weeks on end, only to reappear with a big, bushy beard with bits of pizza stuck in it, and only a vague recollection of what I’ve been up to.
In other news, we made it to the gym this morning and the spa this afternoon, with some jobs in between.
Janathon entry: 2km on the rowing machine (3:58 / 3:59 splits per km); overhead press; squats; lat pulldown
